How to Delete Your Data
DueDay provides a simple way to delete all your data directly from within the app. You don't need to contact us or submit a request form.
Steps to Delete Your Data:
- Open the DueDay app on your device
- Navigate to the Settings tab (bottom navigation)
- Scroll down to find the "Delete All Data" option
- Tap on "Delete All Data"
- Confirm your decision when prompted
Note: This action is permanent and cannot be undone. Make sure to export a backup of your data before deleting if you want to restore it later.
What Data Gets Deleted?
When you use the "Delete All Data" feature, the following data is permanently deleted:
- All Subscription Data: Service names, amounts, billing cycles, due dates, notes, and all subscription-related information
- App Settings: Currency preferences, language settings, theme preferences, and notification settings
- Local Notifications: All scheduled subscription reminder notifications are cancelled
- Pro Purchase Information: If you have a Pro subscription, your RevenueCat account data is anonymized (purchase history may be retained by RevenueCat for their records as required by law)
- Onboarding Status: The app will reset to the onboarding screen
What Data Is Kept?
The following data may be retained for legal or operational purposes:
- RevenueCat Transaction Records: If you purchased Pro features, RevenueCat may retain transaction records as required by payment processing regulations. This data is anonymized and cannot be linked to your identity.
- Google Drive Backups: If you created backups in your Google Drive account, those files remain in your Google Drive until you manually delete them. We do not have access to these files.
Data Retention Period
Once you delete your data using the "Delete All Data" feature:
- Local Data: Deleted immediately and permanently from your device
- RevenueCat Data: Anonymized immediately. Any retained transaction records are kept only as long as required by payment processing regulations (typically 7 years for tax/accounting purposes)
- Google Drive Backups: Remain in your Google Drive account until you manually delete them
